Yes, our quotations are free and of no obligations for new installations only.

5 What’s Split Air Conditioning?

Split Air Conditioning Systems are permanently mounted systems with the compressor unit located externally and a separate fan coil unit inside the home. These are joined together by piping, which carries the refrigerant. The remote location of the compressor makes these units significantly quieter then window/wall models.

Split systems can be install on:

  • the wall
  • located at floor level, gives optimum heating performance
  • in the ceiling

6 What does Reverse Cycle mean?

Reverse Cycle air conditioning is the most energy efficient method of heating or cooling your home. It means that the air conditioning system can cool in summer and heat in winter.

7 What does Inverter mean?

An air conditioner bearing the inverter tag uses a variable-frequency drive to control the speed of the electric motor and thus the compressor to reducer power usage and therefore running costs.

8 What’s Ducted Air Conditioning?

Ducted Air Conditioning systems are designed to centrally heat and cool a large number of rooms or an entire home. They can be suitable if you have an open-plan house, and/or prefer heating in all or most rooms of your house simultaneously. Ducted Air Conditioning systems consist of:

  • The air conditioning condenser located outside in a convenient location.
  • Flexible or rigid ducting, usually installed above the ceiling to distribute the conditioned air throughout the home.
  • Supply air vents, attached to the ceiling or walls (or sometimes the floor), directing the conditioned air into each room.
  • A return air vent (grille) to recirculate air back to the system for re-circulation back to the supply air vents.

9 What is Zoning?

Zoning is the dividing of the house into separately controlled areas. The individual zones can be switched on or off as needed. For example, a day zone for the living areas and a night zone for the bedrooms.

10 What’s Multi Split Air Conditioning?

Multi Split Air Conditioning systems comprises of multiple indoor units attached to a single outdoor unit. They are able to heat and cool multiple rooms independently. We recommend Ducted Air Conditioning systems if Multi Split Air Conditioning systems is not suitable for your premises.

11 Do you offer warranty for residential installations?

We offer a comprehensive “Five Year Warranty” covering not only the manufacturer’s warranty on parts* but also workshop and on-site labour. We maintain and service your system from the time of installation throughout the life of the equipment; to that end we advise you when the annual maintenance is due.

*Excludes disposable items such as filters, fuses, etc.

12 What are your service call rates?

Our current service callout fee is $110.00/hr. Labour is $110.00/hr, charged in half hour increments. These rates are subject to change.

13 How do I clean my filters?

Filters can be cleaned by removing it from the return air grille and cleaning it by running water over it or by vacuuming it. Then, wait for the filters to dry and place back in the system. Endeavour Air Conditioning recommends to clean air conditioning filters at least twice year.

14 Why do I need to conduct regular maintenance?

Regular maintenance should be conducted for your air conditioning system at least once a year, usually best before the hot summer months or the cold winter months. 16 How much does maintenance cost?
